Bacopa & Sleep — A Personal Note
Bacopa makes some people noticeably sleepy. This isn't a side effect — it's the compound's calming activity (GABAergic, the same brain system magnesium and chamomile work on) running alongside its focus effects. If you experience this, take Bacopa 30–60 minutes before sleep. You'll still get the full cognitive and BDNF benefits while the calm helps deeper sleep, recovery, and memory consolidation overnight.
Tolerance Control — Why This Protocol Cycles
Lion's Mane alternates between 500mg and 1000mg to keep receptors sensitive — flooding them with the same dose daily weakens the effect. Bacopa stays consistent because its benefits build cumulatively. Mucuna is every-other-day only — daily L-DOPA dials down dopamine sensitivity, defeating the purpose. Raw Cacao appears 3 times across 5 days — enough for the blood-flow and mood benefits to stack without flattening from daily use.

Move for even 10 minutes before or shortly after taking these compounds — a walk, bodyweight, intentional stretching. Exercise immediately releases BDNF (your brain's growth signal) and increases blood flow to the brain, helping the active compounds cross the blood-brain barrier and reach where they need to work.
